# HireAI

> HireAI is a free, open, vendor-neutral directory of HR AI products, from 1990s applicant tracking systems to 2024+ agentic AI platforms.

HireAI helps HR leaders, recruiters, vendors, and researchers compare HR technology. It publishes product descriptions, capability tags, evaluation checklists, and analysis pages. HireAI does not sell placements, accept paid rankings, or score vendors.

On 28 September 2026 every product page was refreshed. A briefing states the directory record, the technology era, and checks to verify in a demo. Speed, database size, and conversion figures on product pages are vendor-reported unless the page says otherwise.

## Key answers

- 1990s - Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (16 products): Applicant tracking systems store requisitions, applications, and hiring workflow. They are the system of record that later HR AI products still integrate with.

- 2000s - Candidate Marketing & Assessment (20 products): Candidate marketing and assessment tools added career sites, job advertising, employer brand, and structured tests on top of the ATS.

- 2010s - Onboarding/Workflow/Integrated Sourcing (35 products): Onboarding, workflow, and sourcing platforms connected CRM, referrals, scheduling, and process automation around the hiring team.

- 2020s - Intelligent Assessment, Diversity, Career (39 products): Intelligent assessment, diversity, and career products use machine learning for matching, skills, fairness, and internal mobility.

- 2024+ - Agentic AI Platforms (139 products): Agentic AI platforms plan and carry out multi-step talent work, such as sourcing, engagement, and orchestration, with limited human intervention.
